Reflexology

This was a treat your feet weekend for me.  On Friday I went to Simple Pleasures Reflexology and experienced the most luxurious foot treatment ever! Spending an hour at this hidden treasure off of Roswell Road in Atlanta, Ga was a relaxing way to spend an hour during busy rush hour traffic.

I sat in the cozy waiting lounge and filled out a questionnaire about my current health and any specific concerns I wanted to address during the session.

On a shelf in the waiting lounge was the prettiest peony in full bloom. The sweet fragrance permeated the room… it almost smelled like a bottle of perfume.  I had to take a picture of it.

The reflexologist, Val Wynn started by wrapping a heated lavender neck wrap around me and then sat me in a comfortable recliner.

The foot treatment started with an exfoliating scrub and then a dip in a warm foot bath. Expert reflexology pressure points were done to the soles and tops of my feet.  She finished off the session with a hot stone foot and lower leg massage.  It felt wonderful! Separating my toes with hot stones was a neat feeling and good for the feet as well.

There was a chart in the therapy room that showed a map of the feet and what body systems/organs were represented at various points on the foot. All very interesting stuff!

Immediately after the treatment I felt light on my feet. By the next day I noticed my body felt like it was ‘working better’. Here I am four days later still feeling rejuvenated from my session.

To top off this wonderful foot treatment, I had a pedicure on Saturday and chose OPI Princesses Rule as my color. Very sweet and neutral color with a hint of sparkle.
