Today I visited Derma-Luxe Custom Skin Care in Atlanta for a Lumi Facial. This was my first visit to this spa. There’s limited parking available on either side of the street in front of the spa. There are many other small businesses up and down the street, so you might have better luck parking in the lot located behind the spa – the one they share with a florist.
Inside felt like a remodeled Buckhead home with lots of columns and five treatment rooms. The waiting room was very posh with bear skin rugs on the stripped hardwood floors, white antique chairs, steel chandeliers and a fountain on the wall add to the ambiance. Here’s a picture of the room that I was in, you’ll see it’s well-equipped and modern. 
Overall the facility felt clean and up to date. Michael did my facial and began with a cleanse, followed by a light microdermabrasion to prep my skin for the four light fifteen minute Lumi Facial therapy. The lights are supposed to reduce inflammation (good for acne), increase collagen (good for wrinkles) and decrease hyperpigmentation.
Immediately after the facial my face felt refreshed and I felt relaxed… the additional effects of the facial should become more apparent over the next week or so. Some of the skin care lines carried at the spa include Susan Posnick Cosmetics, SkinMedica and Revision, they also have a line of Derma Luxe Cosmeceuticals.
Overall rating: Nice spa, nice experience.
